Patricia Adele "Patty" (Burchell) Pitonyak

Patricia "Patty" Adele Pitonyak, 82, of Jeannette died Saturday January 29, 2022 at home.  She was born November 20, 1939 in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Charles and Laura (Nedley) Burchell. Patty was a graduate of Jeannette High School class of 1957 and worked as a nurses aide at Monsour Medical Center while she attended Nursing School at WCCC.  She became a Registered Nurse at Monsour as well as other places.  She has always been known for her passion and love of nursing and was well loved by patients and colleagues.  Some of her fellow nurses became her dearest, lifelong friends.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband George Andrew Pitonyak, a son Michael Pitonyak, a grandson George Pitonyak, a brother Robert Burchell and a sister Lorraine Thompson.  She is survived by her daughters Lisa and Patty, eight grandchildren, Rebecca, Bethany, David, Ryan, E.J., Michael, Anna, Emmalou,  a great granddaughter Grace, step great granddaughters Lizzy and  Emma,  and numerous nieces and nephews.  Per Patty's wishes her services are private.  The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Bridges Hospice 4130 Monroeville Blvd., Monroeville, PA 15146.  To send online condolences visit http://www.mason-gelder.com.
