Paul E. Lauffer, 98, of Jeannette died Wednesday March 25, 2026. He was born July 5, 1927 in McCullough, a son of the late Levi and Ivy (Soles) Lauffer. Prior to retirement, he was the Parts Manager for Kenny Ross Chevrolet, and he was a veteran of WWII serving with the US Army. Post retirement, he continued to provide consulting until he turned 95. Paul was also a member of F&AM Lodge 750 and American Legion Post 344 both of Jeannette. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Paula Lauffer Vasale, a grandson Nathan Vasale, two brothers Levi and David Lauffer, and two sisters Irma Lauffer and Bertha Liptak. He is survived by his beloved wife of 75 years Audrey (Croushore) Lauffer, his children Bruce Lauffer and Lynne Lauffer Leu (Michael), nine grandchildren Jennifer Mills (Isaac), Petra Vasale-Howell (Kenny), Ben Lauffer (Maggie), Pierce Vasale (Rachel), Chase Vasale (Laura), Jessica Hood (Cody), Brittany Scheidemantel (Andrew), Gregory Lauffer and Robert Lauffer; eleven great grandchildren Eliza, Abby, Liam, Naomi, Jon, Kiley, Zoey, Oliver, Cate, Archie and Dean and numerous nieces and nephews. Paul was an amazing human being. His family often compared him to the Energizer Bunny because he never seemed to slow down. He was a devoted friend, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He loved deeply and over the years, he learned to outwardly express his love to his family members, which they will cherish forever. Friends will be received Monday from 3-7 PM in the Mason-Gelder Funeral Home Inc. 201 N. First St. Jeannette. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM in the funeral home with Rev. Dawn Sherwood officiating. Interment with military rites will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.
