It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Peggy Lee Banner 70 of Jeannette on Sunday March 2, in Independence Health Westmoreland Hospital. Peggy was born September 17, 1954 in Bloomsburg a daughter of the late James and Martha (Martz) Ferguson. She leaves behind her loving daughter and caretaker Stephanie Banner (Butch Tillman) of Jeannette, Stephanie's father Robert N. Banner, three beautiful granddaughters Sarah, Lindsey and Savannah, sisters Sandra Tomasy (Martin) and Carol Dent all of Irwin and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving pets cats; Bunny, Licker and Murphy, dogs; a German shepherd named Rosie and when Rosie passed Peggy got a Golden Retriever named Lady. As Peggy's health started to fail Lady was right by her side. Peggy was always fun to be around with many friends, family and pets who loved her. During her life she worked at Jeannette Glass for many years and when that closed she was a newspaper courier. Many years later she worked for Excela Health as a medical courier. We want to thank the staff at St. Anne's for all the care and support they provided over the past several years for Peggy. Friends will be received Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the Mason-Gelder Funeral Home Inc. 201 N. First St. Jeannette. A funeral service will be held Friday at 11:00 AM in the funeral home with Rev. Aimee Twigg officiating. Interment will follow in St. Clair Cemetery, Greensburg. To send online condolences visit www.mason-gelder.com.
