Rachael W. (Keefer) Witt

Rachael W. Witt, 98, of Irwin, Passed Away on January 5 2023 in Allison Park, PA.  She was born October 25, 1924 in Upper Tyrone Township, a daughter of the late Daniel and Marie (Bungard) Keefer.  Rachael was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  Rachael graduated from Scottdale High School, Class of 1942.  As a young woman, she was employed by Anchor Hocking as a quality control inspector.  A longtime member of Gethsemane United Methodist Church in Jeannette, she served as a teacher for the youth program.  She enjoyed gardening, camping, watching Steeler football games and her beloved pet cats.  Rachael was preceded in death by her loving husband George Witt in 2009, an infant brother and sister, six brothers Wilmer, Glenn, Charles, Daniel, Meade and Emory Keefer, a sister Ruth Stoner and grandsons Brian Witt and David Majorsky.  She will be sadly missed by her loving family:  Richard Barry Witt (JoAnn), Alan Witt (Linda), Lori Majorsky (Andrew), grandchildren; Steven Witt, Mark Witt (Kimberly), Douglass Majorsky, Lisa Hale (Chris), Eric Witt (Kelly), Richard Schmidt, David Schmidt (Nancy) and Michael Schmidt, great grandchildren; Shawn, Rachel and Isaac Witt, Cory Hale and Kate and Nicholas Schmidt.  Friends will be received Tuesday January 10, 2023 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the Mason-Gelder Funeral Home Inc.201 N. First St. Jeannette, PA.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM in the funeral home with Pastor Chris Morris officiating.  Entombment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.  To send online condolences visit www.mason-gelder.com.
