Rachel N. Macias

Rachel N. Macias, 26, of Jeannette died Tuesday January 11, 2022 in Forbes Hospital, Monroeville. She was born December 28,1995 in Morgantown WV a daughter of Juan (Tammy) Macias and Lynn (Gregory Tafelski) Phillips. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Kenneth and Ruth Phillips and paternal grandfather Antonio Macias. Rachel was a graduate of Jeannette High School and was employed at St. Annes Home. She was a member of Charter Oak Church, Jeannette and The Fathers Heart Ministries in Penn and loved singing, doing makeup and being a "Tia" to her nieces and nephews. Rachel had a smile that would light up any room! In addition to her parents she is survived by her siblings Megan Macias, Juan Macias Jr. (Kristi) and Joel Macias all of Jeannette; stepsiblings Seth Miller (Samantha) of Saltsburg, Logan Miller, Michaela Penn and Michael Penn all of Jeannette, Grandma Jo of WI, nieces and nephews Alex, Isabella, Lili, Xavier, Landyn, Rajon and  Jazelle and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends including her very special friend, Dawn. Visitation will be held on Monday January 17th from 1PM until the time of service at 7PM in the Mason-Gelder Funeral Home, Inc. 201 N. First St. Jeannette. The family asks that anyone that has been exposed or showing signs of COVID-19 please refrain from attending the visitation due to multiple compromised family members.
