Richard A. Jupena, Sr., 90 of Jeannette died Saturday, July 17, 2021 in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital. He was born February 27, 1931 in Jeannette, a son of the late Anthony J. and Helen O'Rosky Jupena. He proudly served in the US Navy for 21 years. He was a member of Ascension Catholic Church, Jeannette, American Legion Post #344 of Jeannette and was a passionate animal lover. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Vivian L. Bowman Jupena, son-in-law, Richard Krohn, brother-in-law, Frank Faulk, and a sister-in-law, Jan Jupena. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Marjorie Crescenzo Jupena, five children; Ellen E. Krohn of FL, Denise A. Grabowski and husband Bob of Jeannette, Dawn Irwin and husband Bob of SC, Darcy Magrini and husband Tom and Richard Jupena, Jr. and husband Kevin, all of Jeannette, 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, three siblings, Frances Faulk, Anthony Jupena and John "Mopey" Jupena and wife Margie, all of Jeannette, his companion dogs, Harley and Aylwin and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm Tuesday in the MASON-GELDER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 201 N. First St., Jeannette. A funeral mass will be held Wednesday at 11:00 am in the Ascension Church, Jeannette. PLEASE GO DIRECTLY TO THE CHURCH.
