Richard H. "Dick" Pitzer 95 of Ford City died Wednesday December 11, 2024. He was born March 30, 1929 in Aliquippa a son of the late David and Jane (Grey) Pitzer. Prior to retirement he was employed by Columbia Gas and owned and operated Pitzer's Trucking, Pitzer's Restaurant in Jeannette and Pitzer's Crooked Creek Inn. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving as a Sergeant in the US Army and was a member of Jeannette American Legion Post 344. He was known for his strong work ethic and loved spending time with his family especially boating. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a grandson David Marsolo, a brother Craig Pitzer and his wife Marion and two nephews Terry Binda and Donald "Bebe" Prettiman. He is survived by his wife of 70 years Sandy (Binda) Pitzer, three sons Rick Pitzer (Susie), Kevin Pitzer (Romae) and Frank Pitzer (Tina), seven grandchildren Brooke, Sarah, Alaina, Ricky, Peyton, Amy and Michael, five great grandchildren Briggston, Graylee, Arlo, Victoria and Romeo and one on the way and numerous nieces and nephews.
