Richard L. "Lenny Po" Porcha

Richard L. "Lenny Po" Porcha 89 of Jeannette died Tuesday November 28, 2023 in Independence Health Westmoreland Hospital.  He was born January 13, 1934 in Pittsburgh a son of the late Richard and Cora (Williams) Porcha.  Prior to retirement he was employed by the Elliott Co. of Jeannette and he was a veteran of the Korean War serving with the U.S. Marine Corps.  He was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church and the Glass City Lodge 42 FAAYM-PHONC.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters Mary Cook (Beverly) and Beatrice Howard (John).  He is survived by a daughter Althea Cecelia Wright, two grandchildren, five great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren, God children Deanna Shannon and Jason Grant, his nieces and nephews caregivers: Valerie Diggs, Gloria Cook, Larry Cook, Charles Cook and Shari Edwards and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Friends will be received Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the Mason-Gelder Funeral Home Inc. 201 N. First St. Jeannette.  Additional viewing will be held Monday in the Hopewell Baptist Church Jeannette from 10:00 AM till time of service at 11:00 AM with Rev.
