Robert C. "Rocky" Lane Jr.

Robert "Rocky" C. Lane Jr., 67, of Grapeville passed away peacefully on November 25, 2024, surrounded by close friends and family.  Born to the late Robert and Jean Lane Sr., Rocky was the beloved husband of the late Deborah A. Lane and a devoted father to the late Steven R. Lane. He is survived by his loving daughter, Michelle L. Klein (Lane) of Grapeville, and cherished grandchildren Ashley-Dominique Lane of Grapeville, Lauren Lane of Virginia, and Nicholas R. Lane of Luxor. He also leaves behind his sister, Ruth Lane of Ohio, and his dedicated caregiver and family friend, Tina Cubakovic, who provided him with comfort and care in his final years. We would also like to add a special thank you to ViaQuest Hospice for all of their love and comfort.  A lifelong employee of UPS, Rocky retired in 1994 after a courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Despite his challenges, he lived life with humor and a zest for simple pleasures. He was a man who loved cigars, adored bulldogs and all dogs, and found joy in camping at Mountain Pines in Donegal. Whether he was savoring his sweet tea, indulging in his favorite snacks, or cracking jokes, he embraced life with a spirit that was infectious to all who knew him.  Rocky was the heart of every conversation and had an uncanny ability to bring laughter to any room. Though his humor could be unpredictable, it was a gift that made him unforgettable. He was deeply cherished by family and friends, and he returned that love wholeheartedly, always expressing it in his own distinct and memorable way.  Rocky's legacy of laughter, love, and resilience will forever remain in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known him.  The family asks that you honor Rocky’s memory by sharing a joke, hugging your dog, or simply enjoying a moment of laughter with someone you love.  Friends will be received Saturday from 12:00 PM till time of service at 2:00 PM in the Mason-Gelder Funeral Home Inc. 201 N. First St. Jeannette.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
