Ruth E. (Slaugenhaupt) Winfield

Ruth E. Winfield, 84, of Jeannette went to be with the Lord, Saturday, March 13, 2021 in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital.  She was born April 22, 1936 in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Sewell A. and L. Evelyn Slaugenhaupt McConahy.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Tyler Pastoria and a brother, David McConahy.  Ruth attended Cornerstone Ministries.  She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Thomas Winfield of Jeannette, two children, Kim Winfield and his wife Kristie of Grand Prarie, TX, and Jennifer Pastoria and her husband Mark of Penn Twp., four grandchildren, a sister, Norma Hull of Fishers, IN and a number of nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Friday in the MASON-GELDER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 201 N. First St., Jeannette.  Following CDC guidelines, face masks must be worn and a limited number of people will be permitted in the building at one time.  A private funeral service will be held Saturday.  Interment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.  To send on-line condolences, visit www.mason-gelder.com.
