Sophie Ann (Olszyk) Sodrosky

Sophie Ann Sodrosky, 90, formerly of Dallas, Pa died Friday January 30, 2026 in St. Anne Home, Greensburg. She was born July 23,1935 in Swoyersville, Pa, the daughter of the late Walter and Helen (Stutchkunis) Olszyk. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Vincent Phillip Sodrosky, and her brother, Richard.

Sophie was a member of St. Stanislaus Church (Wilkes-Barre), and Gate of Heaven (Dallas). Prior to retirement she was a seamstress at Erimar.

Surviving are her sons, Vincent Sodrosky and his wife Bronwyn of Irwin Pa, Jeffery Sodrosky and his wife Melissa of Kingston Pa; grandsons Garrett Sodrosky and his wife Jenna, and Conlan Sodrosky and his wife Gabby, and 4 great grandchildren who were the light of her life: Kellan, Sofia, Kayden, and Brooks.

In her last year, Sophie moved from Wilkes-Barre to the St. Anne Home in Greensburg, where she was cared for with love, laughter, and compassion beyond any measure. Her caregivers at St. Anne became family, and were dedicated to Sophie, and of course to all of those in their care. Sophie loved her Julia, who greeted her on her first day, and cared for her until her last day, and Aleta, who was Sophie’s cheerleader in all things. The team in Villa David are amazing people, and were Sophie’s extended family, who the family will never forget.

A special thank you to the wonderful staff at Heartland Hospice for their compassionate care and support, who provided comfort and peace during Sophie’s final days.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 3rd, from 4-6pm in the Mason-Gelder Funeral Home, Inc. 201 N. First St. Jeannette. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday at 10am in St. Mary Church, Export. Interment will be private.
