Thomas A. Hood, Sr.

Thomas A. Hood, Sr., 78, of North Huntingdon died Saturday April 16,2022 in UPMC East. He was born March 29,1944 in Jeannette a son of the late John M. and Mary (Caddy) Hood, Sr. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers John, Robert and Ronald and his sister Phyllis Vollmer. Prior to retirement he worked as a SQA engineer for C&H and previously worked at General Tire (Omnova) and Volkswagon. Thomas was a member of the "Chip & Putt" and Tuesday Sr. golf groups as well as the "R.O.M.E.O" club. He is survived by his wife Sandra (Cain) Hood of North Huntingdon; children Thomas Hood, Jr. and wife Lori, Cristy Rizzardi and husband Andy, and James Hood; step children Danielle Tillery and Justin Tillery and wife Heather; grandchildren Kayla, Elizabeth, Rachel and Jonathan; step grandchildren Alex, Dylan and Logan; great granddaughter Allie Mae and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Wednesday April 20th from 2-4 & 6-8PM in the Mason-Gelder Funeral Home, Inc. 201 N. First St. Jeannette. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10AM in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Jeannette Memorial Park.
