Thomas Rodger Little

Thomas Rodger Little of Hudson FL succumbed to his battle with cancer on October 24, 2022.  He had been a long-time resident of Lewisburg PA before moving to the Sunshine State ten years ago.  As the youngest child of Bernard and Martha (Walch) Little, Tom was born in the family home in Jeannette PA. He is a graduate of Saint Vincent Preparatory School, Point Park College, and honorably served his country in the U.S.Air Force.  His career path led him into the transportation industry until his retirement from ABF Freight System. Throughout his years he was an adventurous world traveler, an avid hunter, and a forever Pittsburgh Steelers fan.  Tom was a member of Saint Theresa Catholic Church in Spring HilL FL.  He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Shirley (Silvis); son David and wife Cynthia of Staunton VA; daughter Christine John and husband Mark of Hudson FL; grandchildren Patrick and Cassi Little of Staunton VA; sister Jean Dovillers of Jeannette, PA; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; as well as furry grands Max, Katie, and Lex.  In addition to his parents he was pre-deceased by brothers Donald, Albert, Charles, and James.  Funeral Services will take place in Westmoreland County Memorial Park in Greensburg PA.  If desired, donations in Tom’s memory may be made to Saint Vincent Seminary, 300 Fraser Purchase Road, Latrobe PA 15650.  Mason-Gelder Funeral Home Inc. Jeannette, PA is assiting the family with arrangements.
