Wayne D. Hood

Wayne D. Hood 66 of Jeannette died Saturday August 13, 2022 in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital after a brave battle with Parkinson's Disease.  He was born June 9, 1956 in Greensburg a son of the late John and Betty Jane (Walter) Hood.  Prior to retirement he was employed by Nationwide Insurance.  Wayne was a sanctioned bowler with the USBC and he loved to coach others at the sport.  He also was an avid outdoorsman enjoying camping, fishing, hunting and golf.  He is survived by his wife Karen (Bevington) Hood, two stepchildren Jamie Owens (John Leese) and Brian Owens (Nicole), four step grandchildren, a sister Beverly Zimmerman Davis, his two fur babies Chance and Cleo and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.  There will be no services.  Mason-Gelder Funeral Home Inc., Jeannette, PA entrusted with arrangements.
