William R. Darragh

William R. Darragh, 72, of Penn died peacefully at home surrounded by loving family on Sunday November 19, 2023. He was born December 12th,1950 in Greensburg, a son of the late Donald and Dorothy (Linsenbigler) Darragh. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers Jeffery and Donald. Prior to retirement he worked as a bulk room operator at Omnova Solutions, Jeannette. William served in the US Army and was a Vietnam War Veteran. He was a lifetime member of the Penn Rod & Gun Club, VFW Post 33, Greensburg, Jeannette American Legion Post 344 and Polish Brotherhood of the White Eagle, Jeannette. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Mary (Daugherty) Darragh of Penn, daughter Kristy Giovannitti and husband Vinny; son Gregory Darragh; daughter Erin Bieber and husband Tom; 3 grandchildren Rocco William, Nina Giuliana, and Charlotte Agnes; siblings Ronald J. and wife Kathleen, Becky Myers, Barbara Reott, and Donna Sarsfield and husband Pat; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Bill’s grandchildren were the light of life. He was a die hard Pirates fan who never missed a game. Bill’s family would like to thank the staff at Hempfield Manor, Home Instead, and Bridges Hospice. Visitation will be held on Tuesday November 21 from 2-6 PM in the Mason-Gelder Funeral Home, Inc. 201 N. First St. Jeannette PA.
