William Monteparte Obituary

William Monteparte, 73, of Jeannette, passed away surrounded by his loving family on January 29, 2021 in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital.   He was born October 21, 1947 in Greensburg, a son of the late Anthony and Alice (Wolfe) Monteparte.

Early in life, Bill found a love for cars which led him to cherish his gold 1966 Pontiac GTO that he fully restored for his family to treasure.  As Bill always said, “My favorite hobby is working!” where he was active in real estate and enjoyed buying and refurbishing various properties, including a farm in Indiana, where he could appreciate the outdoors riding his tractors in the fields.  As an avid hunter, Bill took many hunting trips across the United States, Canada and Africa and is a Life Member of North American Hunting Club.  Prior to retirement, he worked within the drafting and engineering departments of Elliott Company, Jeannette, for many years.  After retirement, he founded Monteparte Services, Inc.

He is survived by his wife Janice, of 48 years; his children Heather Whirlow (Mark) and Anthony Monteparte his best farm and hunting buddy; two grandchildren Mylah his Baby Doll and Wyatt his Partner; a brother Robert Monteparte (Janet); a sister Linda Pinazza (Charlie) and several nieces and nephews, cousins, hunting friends and friends. We are so proud to have had such a wonderful and loving husband, father and pap. Visitation will be held on Tuesday February 2nd from 3-7PM in the Mason-Gelder Funeral Home, Inc. 201 N. First St. Jeannette. Funeral service and interment are private. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to www.worldwildlife.org.
