Bertha M. Sadler, 94, of  Roanoke, VA, died Sunday, July 24, 2016 at her daughter’s home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 21, 1922 in Hempfield Twp., to the late Howard and Fannie Riehl Henry. She was a lifetime member of St. John’s Harrold United Church of Christ, Greensburg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank G. Sadler, and siblings: Amos H. Henry, Louis G. Henry, William A. Henry, Ernest C. Henry, Franklin E. Henry, Anna H. Croushore and Sara H. Compton. Bertha is survived by a daughter, Shirley A. Murphy and her husband Robert E. of Roanoke, VA, and son, Denis J. Sadler and his wife LoriAnn of Harrisburg; five grandchildren; Jennifer M. Deeter and husband Troy R.; Michelle L. Coffey; Miriam Hoebelheinrich and husband Ryan, Aaron Stough and wife, Abby; Mellisa Brownawell and husband, Chad; thirteen great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Thursday, July 28, from 2:00 - 4:00 pm and 6:00 - 8:00 pm in the MASON-GELDER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 201 N. First St., Jeannette. Additional visitation will be held Friday 10:00am until the time of the funeral service at 11:00am at St. John’s Harrold United Church of Christ, 103 St. Johns Church Road, Greensburg, PA 15601.  Interment will follow in St. John’s Harrold Cemetery.
